Tire Choices???

Time for new set of tires; currently have the BFG Radial TAs in 245-60-15. Not changing the stock aluminum wheels or anything like that; just curious what others are using on the stock wheels.

The stock wheels are 7.5" wide???

I'm using Goodyear Eagle GTIIs. They may not be the ultimate performance tire (speed rating, stickiness) but they last, look good and are reasonably priced (or at least they were about 50k miles / five years ago when I got them).

There really aren't any true 'performance' tires available in the OEM sizing anymore. Any tire you choose is going to be 'for show' only. Although I've heard decent things about the new Indy 500 Firehawks (I think they were).

You can't get real performance tires until you move up to a 17" rim.

I've got Dunlop GT qualifiers. Nice tires and a very nice tire profile. I think most of the tires have an off road profile and this tire has a almost normal profile.
