tire pressure sensors

I'm putting 2001-2002 wheels on my 1999 C5 coupe. When I go to set them with my computer will the sensors set up or do I need to replace those tps with my 99 tps?

Bill,

You will have to swap out the newer style sensors for the 97-00 type. The newer ones won't work.

1997-2000 used the same style sensor:

You'll need to replace them and re-train them.

For comparison, here are the 2001-2004 sensors:

Notice the stepped grommet on the newer style, whereas the '97-'00 use an O-ring.

Thanks, Eric and Bob. I was thinking the only change was the shape so it would fit the 2001-2002 wheel; did not know they were not compatible for programming with my 99 computer.
