I bought a 96 coupe last year and at the time didn't notice that the tire pressure stickers were missing from the driver's door. When I bought the car I ran it through carfax and the report came back clean so there was no reported major damage. So I assume that the door must have been repainted at some point and the stickers removed. My question is, how can I get replacement stickers? I believe the VIN is also printed on the door stickers so has anyone had to get repacements?
Thanks
Larry

The two door stickers were printed at the time the car was built so the data on them would have been available only at that time. The door stickers have a GM part number so you might check other cars out and get the part number from them. These numbers may have been superceded or even no longer a valid number.

Even if you got a good number, they would come blank. The decal is a two part sheet. The backer sheet has a carbonless coating on the backer and the decal has another coating on the inside. when the printer prints on the decal face, there is no ribbon. The impact created the characters from the coating on the two sheets combining (think Carbonless forms or NCR forms).

The printer font is a generic ASCII font found on high-speed mainframe computer impact printers and it would be difficult to duplicate that font unless you could download it from some website that provides printer fonts. And then you would need an impact-type printer to print the data. Inkjet or laser printers would not work.
