:w My "new" '67 coupe (base engine) has 205/70 radial tires on the stock rally rims. Can I put 205/60s or 225/60s on the car without turning/fender scraping problems? Many thanks, Bob Carroll, Cincy, Ohio

Yes, but they'll look funny (won't fill the wheel wells), and they're over 2" smaller in overall diameter, which will cause a significant speedo error. 205/75-15's or 215/70-15's are a better choice.

I have Goodyear Eagle GT-HRs 215-65/15 on my 1966. They are 26 inches in diameter and they do rub inside the front wheel wells on a tight turn (to the lock) so I don't do the tight turn all that often.

My experience 60s will hit your fenders, count on it been there done that.

I recommend 1967 6" wheel or 64-66 6" KO wheel. 205/75-15 tires mine are BF Goodrich. These tires have never rubbed and are the same height as original bias tire but, a much wider thread and look good. My 67 has 65 original KO wheels and the Goodrich tires and have worked well for me.
PS. I purchased the five KO wheels I have in about 1969 for $65.00 The guy who had them put mags on his corvette.
