Glass repair kit from Ecklers

The top is not glass its plastic. The only choices you have are to buy a reman one or find a nice used one. There is a place on alabama called astro tops that can rebuild it for you.

I thought the T-Top is glass??? Is it clear plastic? Wov.

Acrylic cement

Back in the 70's I worked on a project with acrylic panels and we used an adhesive specifically for that material. Regular 'glue' or plastic cement did not hold. The top is either acrylic (also known as plexiglas or Lucite) or more likely polycarbonate.
The two plastics (acrylic or polycarbonate) require unique adhesives that don't work well for the other. I don't have a top like that so don't know which plastic they're made of. You can identify polycarbonate by looking at it in sunlight with polarized sun glasses. Polycarbonate will have swirl marks that look like a thin oil slick on calm water (rainbow-like). Acrylic is much more optically 'pure'.
After you determine whether it's acrylic or polycarbonate, you should be able to locate an adhesive via a google search.

Check this place (no recommendation, just found it on google)

Can anyone clarify I thought they were acrylic but I could be wrong and any suggestions on where to get the glue? I see 3M makes it but does not sell to us little guys only bussiness that use it?
