This is actually a very topical issue. In fact, this got POSTED earlier in the week in the General Tech Discussion Forum.

The common theme to all these gas retail outlets is not only in their refining process, but that they also add Techron. Although I don't have all of these retailers in my area, I do have several of them, and I will only put top tier gasoline in my engine. On a per gallon basis, it may cost a few cents more than what you get at your local 7-11, for example, but in this case, the cost of prevention is well worth the pound of cure it would take after the fact.

There's actually a wealth of information on fuel, fuel additives and proper gas and octane ratings for a Corvette. Do a forum search, and you'll be amazed at the number of discussions that have been held at CAC on this subject. Here's ONE THREAD, in particular.
