Question: TPMS programing upgrade

I just put a new set of wheels and tires off of a 2008 GrandSport on my 1999 C5 Coupe and I cant get the TPMS sensors to program . Is there a trick to the programing or do I need to replace the sensors ?

If you used the 2008 sensors they will not work on a 1998. You will need early style C5 sensors to be compatible with a 1998, those can be programmed through the DIC and a strong magnet.
