ok alot of you know ive been doing the final items to my 82 tpi conversion..... with the headers im using, i need to be abe to run dual exhuast back to my flowmasters. alot of my original plans wont work but im hoping this one will......

Will a 68-79 tranny crossmember(with holes for exhaust pipe) work on my 82 w/a 700r4? if not directly, can i MAKE it work? what would it take?

Please help, please please please..... i cant set my rockers, or even hear if the new motor is knockin in any matter till i quiet down my "open pipes"!!!!!

I can't say for sure....but I don't see why it would not work. Nothing is impossible with a big enough grinder, welder, and extra metal to fill in the gaps!

In fact, no doubt you can modifiy yours with the aid of a good welding shop and some scrap heavy duty 4" round tubing to build the exhaust pipe holes.
