when i put the vette in reverse it makes this eeeh eehh sounds. its almost constant, hard to describe. doesnt do it in other gears, only in reverse.
i have no clue of what it could be.

700's tend to mike a slight buzzing or squeeling sound in reverse (coming from the pan area of the transmission) from time to time. There is a mod you can do to the regulator valve, that involves dropping the pan, and popping the snap ring for access. You could do the mod, and install a new o-ring style .283 lo-rev boost valve while you are in there. With a new filter, and fluid, you can do this for about $50

Shoot me an e-mail if you want to try it, and I can provide some info.

A sort of creaking, clicking noise when you select revers or when you select drive after being in reverse might be a sign that the thrust washers on the rear stub axles or "spindles" need to be replaced.

See the Factory Service Manual.
