Thanks for the tips. The black urethane is quite messy. Even with wearing rubber gloves, the stuff gets everwhere!
I used vice grips with the flat ends and paint paddles (stir sticks) taped to the top to put pressure on that side until the glue dried. I certainly like your idea of weighting down the top. I was only working with the passenger side so having the top off the vehicle worked for me.
