Turn signal arm removal on a 93

Can anyone guide me through removing the cruise/turnsignal stem on the steering column?

Well I have got an answer from another forum that says I should just pull it out and the factory service manual has one sentence that says the same .Has anyone actually done this?No thinking please wanna KNOW.

Where is your sense of adventure? :D

Dont mind adventure it is old hard plastic that scares me already got enough broken stuff to fix I do not wanna add to it.

Ok, I had this done on my 89' and watched him do it, the best thing to do is pull it out and snip the old wire off of the old switch and tape the end of the new switch to the old wire then pull it through, make sure its connected good as you wont want it to pull apart in the middle of the column,

In section F3 of the chevy service manual that will tell you how to dis arm the air bag and repair the turn signal lever.

the lever just pulls out where do you plan to go from there ? replacement :w Steve

Yes I am replacing it. The washer part is broken as well as the cover below that part is missing got one from Ebay for $10.
