My turn signals come on, but do not flash. I have found 3 flashers in my 1977 L82. Two are located under the center console and one is located in the fuse panel. Which one controls the directional signals ?

I have tried swapping the the 3 units without success.

:welcome

Can't help but someone here probably can.

1st of all....:welcome

2nd...are ALL of your bulbs good???
chances are your may have a bad bulb or two.
If your changing out the flashers and its not working ,I would try the bulbs next....
If that doesn't work check your grounds.

Try looking for a flasher under the dash behind the glove box on the passenger side to. the flasher for the 78's is there. We also found alot of "flashers" theres one for the hazard on the fuse panel and one beside the shifter in the console and the thats the starter interupter then the actual flasher was behind the bottom of the glove box door under the passenger side of the dash.

Thanks for the location tip. All my bulbs are fine ... I just can't find the darn flasher. I'm sure it must be the flasher as when activating both left or right the turn signal comes on, but does not flash. I looked under the dash behind the passenger side as you suggested, but couldn't feel or see the flasher. Will try pulling the the A/C ductwork and then removing the right side of the dash if that doesn't work.

The flasher in the fuse panel is for the 4-way flashers, one of the flashers under the console is the for the alarm, the other one under the console may be for the "starter interupter" that you mentioned (although I'm not sure what purpose that serves ?).

Here's hoping I find the mystery flasher !!!

He right about the turn siginal flasher being next to the glove box. Some times it easier to just take the glove box out; then you can find the flasher. Once you found it; it's kind of a DAH after that. Good Luck

The one under the console is for the alarm- makes the alarm horn beep instead of one long blast.

Well, I have finally solved the mystery !

Turns out that a previous owner with "good sense" had moved the flasher from the "hard to find" and "difficult to reach" location of behind the passenger dashboard to a position next to the alarm flasher under the center console. Great location, but I wish that he had labeled his change. I have now tagged all 3 flashers for future reference.

Thanks for your help.
