Reading the posts regarding 1981 two tones, it seems that they cannot be quantified, thus no one can say how many of each two tones were made. Now aside from the 78 SA and Pace Car, it's my understanding that the only two tone C-3 are 1981's from the Bowling Green factory. Does this give any value to this Vette? In other words would a 1981 two tone be more valuable than a solid color Vette to a collector or anyone? My other question is - does anyone have a good picture of a two tone Claret?

Thanks

Doug

Doug,

Have you asked Rare81, I bet he has one somewhere on his computer or Corvette Files..

Here is a two tone Claret.. I'll look around I'm sure I have a better shot of one. This photo is compliments of one of our L81VetteRegistry members ;)

Nice shot of "MY" car! Jim

I had a two tone claret, new in 1981. It was a beautiful car and I wouldn't mind having another one just like it one day. I still have the window sticker and temp tag.

If the Vin on the sticker is #6469....I'd sure like to see it! Jim

I'll have to dig it out and check it. It did have the cloth interior, though. I sold it to a wholesaler from Tenn., (I think) for his daughter back in '84.

I'll check the number, this evening.
