Took the B2K out for its annual State inspection, and bi-annual Emissions test toady, what a blast!!! I LOVE THAT CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Passed both, with flying colors (of course) :cool

...the sweet sounds on the chassis dyno rollers for the e-test made sweet music :cool

My ace mechanic changed the oil & filter and greased the suspension fittings for me - VERY cool! :upthumbs

While the B2K was up on the rack, he inspected the hoses for the turbos, for dryness and rot - all were in great shape, esp the return lines for the oil to the aux. pan.

We talked shop for awhile and a few folks complimented the car - NO, not for sale ;)

Spring is here - Anyone else out doing the "chores" w/ their Callaways???

drove mine tonight to a Steak and Shake cruise in....it rained here earlier today so the roads were still a bit damp.

These car are DANGEROUS on wet roads :L Part throttle in 3rd gear at 65mph = wheels spin and dirty drawers for your passenger :D and i was actually driving like a normal person. 70 degree cool air rocks. Needless to say a Steak n Shake the b2k garnered quite a bit of attention.

Especially from the Z06 who was following me down the road and pulled up to ask if it was really a twin turbo car. I have him the nod and we waved and went our separate ways.

Unbelievable.... nearly 200 trailored miles!

When is the bubble-wrapper tent showing up? Must be on the X-Mas wishlist. ;)

I'm confused and I am not trying to be a smart a** but how can under 200 miles a year in a performance Vette be considered fun unless its 1/4 mile at a time?

I put about 300 miles a week on my plain ole C5 and sometimes even get out of Ohio with it. Today it saw 130 just to clear the carbon :L

I am not trying to be smart, just trying to understand.

Just kidding Chris.... I couldn't pass that one up...

Made To Drive

6000 miles over the past 8 weeks

God I love driving that car.....lol

Everytime I get in my truck it makes me feel like I'm cheating on the Vette

Showed the car at a local show this past weekend and won a special trophy

"Catch It If You Can"

Show was mostly for model year 75 and older but the Callaway drew crowds all day long

When i arrived at the show i was parked right next to a C5 Lingenfelter Vette, but the owner couldn't take the competition and he decided to leave early...lol

I'm seriously thinking about driving the Callaway back cross country for the fall get together, but i will have to wait a little longer to see if i can schedule work around another vacation

Later

I you're so busy that you only have time to drive your car 2 miles, I'd be more than happy to come by and help ya out with getting a few more miles on it!!!!

This has seen almost 200 miles since I bought it 7 years ago.

Of course you can that car is just a Garage Trophy I bet it still has the original tires that are probably as hard as rocks by now. I keep telling you get out and enjoy the car . The more miles you put on it the more smiles you get . So PLEASE enjoy the car and take it out for a drive more often . Gosh I put more mile driving the car back and forth to Callaway than you did all year. A note from the BUBBLE BOY LOL Just havin fun Chris.

I had almost forgot how you bought that time capsule, err... "bubble" to keep your Callaway in :ugh

These are some nice cars for sure - I did not realize how little some of us drove them - 90Callaway and 8388 certainly take the cake though :m

Here are a couple pics from the other day - I feel so good about the car right now - the coolant was changed out last year, with the hoses changed out to "standard style" w/ the thermostat in the "traditional" location per Callaway Cars advice :cool

Also, getting the blessing of my longtime mechanic, who is very familiar w/ B2K's and other performance Vettes was good - but even better were the offers I got to buy the car while there - NOT FOR SALE! ;)
