I understand that 1996's have a fuze that can be taken out to switch off the underhood courtesy lights, could someone please tell me where I might find this fuze?
Any help would be great...thank you.

Its located right along the back side, on the driver side, side marker light box..with the hood open, reach down in the front corner and find a black 1 inch by 1.5 inch by 1/2 inch plug dangling between the front of that black vacuum ball and the back of the marker light box....

...this plug can be pulled apart...it has a plastic clip affect that you can seperate with a screw driver or a strong finger nail ... the fuse is inside!! Pull it out and the lights are off...let us know if you find it!

Thank you

Steelblue75 and Stinger,

I took your advise and found the location and fuse, thank you for helping me out!!!!!!!!!

Stinger,
have you installed the Daytime Running Lights on your 96 yet? I'm trying to install DRL on my 96 but I cannot locate a switched power circut that is fused with at least 15 amps. The module is in the same location as the underhood light fuse.
As you can probably tell, I have very little experience with vehicle electrical/mechanical so I can use all the help I can get.

Don, Happy to hear I could help!

I have a couple of ideas about the install on the DRL's.

If you can hang tight for a day or two, I will find out for you...my brother is the 'Main' Corvette ace (18 years and GM certified) at the local Chevy shop in my hometown...(cheesehead) I will run your question by him..he will have the best solution/location to tie switching into for this!

He is a NFL fanatic...today is the wrong time to reach him...

Stand by!
