Question: Underhood light assy??????

Need some help from the group...

I finally got my underhood light working. After several hours of thread and
schematic reading all it needed was a ground wire(missing).
My question is: With the hood open and the light on will it go out after a length of time? Not sure that it has a timer function, at least I could not find and info on it.

No timer, it will stay on as long as the hood is open. Great way to drain your battery flat.

yeah wire in a switch so you can turn it on and off
