I have the base unit in my 09, can the dealer upgrade it to the unit with the navigation system
any info would be helpful.

The dealer can probably do that for you but a portable unit like a TomTom or Garmin is much cheaper. The portable unit can also be reprogrammed while the car is moving, by the passenger of course. Last I knew, the factory navigation unit cannot be reprogrammed unless your car is stationary no matter who is doing the reprogramming.

Just a couple of things to keep in mind.

Hey guys. I have a is,ilar car as Randy's only mine came with the GM navi which I hated. I ripped everything out and replaced speakers, amps and head unit with a Kenwood DNX 9980 HD which is Garmin based. I loved the big screen and no suction cup on my windshield. Yup, way more money but everything sounds and looks better.
