Upgraded Fog Lamps

I agree with the 885s. They are the stock foglight bulb on 93-97 Camaros and are 50w vs 37w for the C5 stock. Also, checking the aim on your lights is a big help. Mine were pointed down at quite an angle. I re-aimed them to be just below the low beams.

BINGO! That's exactly what I did, and now they cast a very nice swath of light that blends up into the area covered by the headlight; what an improvement! Now the fog lamps are actually useful. Relatively inexpensive for what you get out of it. I do a lot of night driving, too.

Are the Sylvania Silverstar Bulbs a direct replacement with the OEM headlight bulbs?
Yep, and the best place I have found to get them ($$ wise) is Wal-Mart.

When you go to replace them, the black surround is held at the top by a hidden ridge. After removing the screws, just pull out at the top and it will slide down out of the way. Just don't make the same mistake I made when replacing them. The headlight covers need to be removed, but the track they mount to does not. It took me five minutes to remove the surround and replace the bulb, and then 1.5 hours of trial-and-error tweaking the track to get the cover realigned. :hb

Done!

Got the 885's and replaced them this weekend, nothing to it and they seem to be brighter and whiter!
I did drop one of the Headlamp surroud screws and spent 10 min fishing it out and had to remove the hoot stop bumpers (Hands like catchers mitts) but your directions were perfect.

Again thanks to all your a great bunch!

I would like to upgrade the Fog Lamps on my 04 Vert. Thought I saw an article somewhere on how to and the different bulbs available.

Any help would be apreciated.

I'm :confused ...do you need brighter fog lights because you have thicker fog where you live?:L ......
