Vacuum sensor line to carb

Hello everybody,

I'm looking for pictures how your plastic vacuum line (from the vacuum sensor) is connected at the back to the rear base of the carb. Mine has a 1.5" rubber line that connects the plastic vacuum line to the vacuumport at the rear base of the carb. It's very easy to move the plastic line in and out the rubber one and as the vacuum sensor should sense the difference in vacuum from the manifold I think it's important that there is no vacuum leak between the rubber and plastic line.

If somebody has a different (original) connection I would like to see some pictures to do the same. I was thinking to epoxy the plastic line in the rubber line to get rid of any vacuum leakage.

Greetings Peter

can you put a spring clamp on it ????
when I get home from work later I'll see if I have that pic,
If not I'll take one for you....:thumb:thumb

Thanks! :)

A spring clamp is also a good idea, wonder why I didn't think of that :)

Greetings Peter

Thanks for the pictures Roger, always someone I can count on :)

Btw. Mine looks just like yours, but I can move the plastic tube very easily in and out of the rubber one.

Greetings Peter

Peter..,
Is there a crack in the rubber tube? Does your rubber tube feel brittle or dried-up?
How about shrink wrap over the whole thing? Or would it be too hot for that?
Just a few ideas...

Regards...,
Roger

Hello Neal,

Did I say something different because I don't remember?

On the tube, the tube is new so no problems with it. Btw, it isn't a problem anyway but I think it could be done better :)

Greetings Peter
