What would the value of a 1986 coupe with 8,000 miles on it. The car is in mint condition and everything is original. What would a fair price to pay for this be?

Thanks for any and all advice and input!

8000 miles? Really? Really really?
That actually may not be so good as parts that are rarely used tend to dry up, sieze up or otherwise degrade. I would take a very close look at the seals and that kind of thing, run it around a bit and check for leaks.
Hard to say, could go either way...

thanks

Yes I took a look at it and it seems flawless in every detail. No dry rot, everything is working order etc. Just not sure what the value of the car would be.

Thats a tough question, To be honest with you,Its worth what ever someone will pay for it!!!! EVERYONE WILL GIVE YOU A NUMBER OF SOME SORT!! My number is 15000 Tops!!!! the reason for that number is, If you buy it, drive it for 2 yrs. put 40000 milis on it, You have a 20yr. old C4 with near50000milesthat is now worth 10 grand tops!!!!! My #'s maybe off some, but my theory is correct,I think!!! Please correct me if I am wrong!!!!:D

This one's good, now that the 86 is recognized by the NCRS, buy it wait a couple and see......

Just maybe 20-30. maybe.. and if the miles are kept minimal.

Just my thoughts.

Is that Canadian bucks?:L If you really love that year it may be worth more than the 10 grand I would pay tops...

I guess I'm thinking CA $$, but you never know, the right combo of options, low miles........maybe.

Hey wait a minute, RJS that a shot at my year......;LOL :D

BTW, I never really looked into the Z52 option, what exactly is it.

Just noticed your year Mart, so no shot intended. Z52 is a step down from the Z51, it came with slightly stiffer suspension, bigger brakes and wheels, sort of a more civilized handling package. I likey...
See you here? www.wasagabeachcorvetteclub.com in August?

Thanks

Thanks everyone for the input. So, I guess what I am hearing is for a flawless 1986 with 8,000 miles no one here would pay $15,000 US? Guess I should keep shopping then huh?

Thanks again for your help!

Who arrived at the $15K figure? Tried offering less?
My rag as shown above sold here for about 9KUS at the old exchange rate...

yeah I offered less, but the lowest was $14,000. Seems a bit high to me but I am interested in the car, wanted some other opinions though before I moved! So thanks again.
