I cannot get the valve cover decals to stick on my 66 327 / 300. The 300 hp stickers that are on the side of the valve covers are not a problem, it is just the TurboFire stickers on the top of the valve cover. The engine was repainted last year. I have tried cleaning with gas, rubbing alcohol, and 409. Stickers start peeling up at the edges as soon as the engine gets warm.

Anyone have any ideas how to get them to stick?

I assume they are metallic decals with adhesive... sounds like the adhesive that comes on the decals is not up to the task.
Perhaps it's possible to remove the adhesive (alcohol?) and use a better adhesive, such as:

Stik n Seal Extreme Conditions from Loctite Adhesives
