Anyone have a part number for the valve cover emblem on my 86 aluminum head corvette. The builder is going to paint my valve covers, and I would like to put a new emblem on.

Thanks,
Craig

I did not think they were avail. anymore. If someone knows a source I would like to buy 1 myself
I have seen them going on ebay for over $100

The part number for 86-90 alum valve cover emblem is 14087417. The bad news is they are no longer available. Mine was missing when I bought my car and looked into replacing it. The one option you have is buying the whole left valve cover (it may or may not come with it) the part number is 10055781.

:w

Just get some paint, and paint em. I have heard of others doing it, and it turning out good.

This was on ebay and he wanted 130.00..it didn't sale.

I painted mine.....$4.00 in paint

Well that really sucks, I guess I will take mine off and paint the thing. How does it come off the vavle cover?

It's just glued...pry it off

Really, so what do I use to reattach the darn thing.

Ok, guys that is hilarous. I dont think a regular emblem adhesive will work due to the heat.

JB Weld

Would liquid steel also work?

How about going for some chromed valve covers? Yeah, I'm trying to break Craig's bank!:L:L:L

Yeah no doubt, the bank has already been broke. I am trying to find a way to put headers on the car before the engine goes in. I dont know how exaclty how that will happen.

WHat am I looking at for the vavle covers?

Check out this product # from www.Jegs.com 350-4247

Made for our center bolt valve covers. Read the description. Not too bad for $115. :D

Speaking of expensive parts, Mid America is now pricing the 84-89 radio bezel at $220! Holy cow.

I think Ecklers may be even worse!
