Vette fuel system impurities

Hello fellow vette peoples

My car has impurities in the fuel tank, and the impurities look like rust. My fuel filter is clogged with it, and my fuel pump spit it out in my glass jar. It seems the gas tank is rusting. Should I buy a new tank or just have the fuel system cleaned? Any body know of a good place that will clean/install tank here in L.A area?
Also planning to replace entire exhaust front to back.

Is your question regarding a 1990-1995 ZR-1 or your 1972? If it's regarding your '72, you should be posting this question in the 1958 - 1982 Tech. Forum. If you that is the case, let me know and I will move this thread into that forum.
