Oops I slipped.:duh
I didn't think about this earlier but....
The car was sitting outside when I was first told it wouldn't start.
He told me if he could get it inside he would be able to finish it up.
I said'Let's just push it in'
He says'We can't the wheels are locked up"
I look inside and release the emergency brake.'The emergency brake was on' I tell him.
Him:'Really?I didn't think it was because the handle wasn't up'
Me: It goes back down when applied so you can get out!If it didn't go back down you couldn't get out when the brake was set.
Him:Hmmm..
!!?????!!!???!!!
This didn't really strike me until later...
He has obviously been driving my Vette around the shop property(when it ran)with the emergency brake on.Oh man!!!
I have never tried to move my car with the E-brake on.It may very well move easily.I just don't know. It's an automatic so I don't use it.
Wait I have more.
Before we push it in the shop,he reaches under and unhooks a chain from underneath.HE MUST HAVE DRAGGED THE CAR OUTSIDE IF IT WOULDN"T START.OH JEEZ!!:nono :nono
We are gonna have a discussion when I see him.
For the record:His specialty is customizing Toyota 4X4 trucks and older body style Land Cruisers.Dropping 350 chevy engines in them and the whole works. They are truly works of art.He just ain't familiar with Vettes.
I just wanted a little body work done by a person who did exemplary work.It does look beautiful.:love
