i have a 12.3 volt draw and when i disconnect the starter wires along with the ignition wires it drops off...if i hold the POS cable from battery to the ignition wires then draw comes back ...while im testing this i have the NEG cable disconnected from battery and a test light on NEG terminal on the battery and i can put test light anywhere under the hood and it lights up ?? i have took out every fuse and it still doesnt drop off ...i have also disconnected the ALT still no change i have unplug the blower motor and wiper motor radio still no change with a brand new battery ....

Not quite sure what you are trying to test here. But it you disconnect the negative and test like you are saying the result is that everything will have 12v on it. Including the chassis.

I'm having trouble with my brand new battery running dead

Checking the voltage won't tell you much. You will find it a lot easier to connect an ammeter and measure the current draw on the battery. Pull the fuses one by one until the current drops off. Unless it cranks with the battery connected it's probably not at the starter.

I have tryed pulling fuses I shouldnt have 12 volts on the master cylinder or the alternator or the frame underneath the hood when the starter is connected 2 to the power cable and ignition wires when I disconnect the ignition wires and the power cable from the starter the draw goes away if I put this the power cable on the starter alone just the power cable on the starter I do not have a draw it's only when I put the ignition wires on to the starter as well and if I put the wires together without them being on the starter I still have a draw

The car starts and runs fine ...battery just goes dead after a day or so

Of course it goes away. The power goes from your battery+ to your starter. All other power comes from here.
It is the current that drains the battery, not the voltage. Use an ammeter as I said above. Using a voltmeter will take a very long time to find the problem, and may not find it at all if it's with something that has a switched negative.

I'm new to the corvette world. I own a 2003 and have had similar problems. A friend said vettes typically drain batteries for reasons unknown and advised me to get a battery maintainer. A bit of a hassle but the battery stays charged fine. Good luck

Most cars will have a small drain on the battery. But it shouldn't be flattening the battery after only a couple of days.
