looking at past threads, I know this has been addressed several times before, but I am still comfused
I am switching from 2.59 to 3.07
I now have a red, 17 tooth drive gear
I know I need a 42 tooth green driven gear and I know my current vss housing will not fit it
and I can not find the housing anywhere that I need, gm part 25007308,
I have read that I can rotate my current housing 180 and it might work
Do I put in the new 42 gear and then rotate it, or leave the stock driven gear in it and rotate it.
can anyone help me find the correct housing, or I might not change out diff that I just bought and was so excited to change out for better performance
I need the speedometer to read correct because my wife also drives car and will not drive it if speed is off
