- C3-coupe/MercedesBenz-540K replica! Racing-SB-V8!
-anybody have disgarded set four(4) plain rusty (but straight) old standard Steel 15"x8"-wide so-called Rally-wheels (no glitter just the wheels) that came on C3/Corvettes circa/'68-'74; --for $100 spot-cash on the barrel-head?
-Bob vH ;help
[Re: Tom'73/ChuckG below: -nope, C2 '67's were 7", C3 '68's began 8"(9"-overall)...]
[Re: GaryS: -trying to avoid the guys w/mask&gun who'd be asking more than $100!!! ]
[Re: JohnZ: -OK, may be wrong, and stand unamiously out-voted(thankx tom & Gary); -and yes, need to be sure they measure 8" inside the rim-seat! ]
[Re: Mark(PD): -yes, -seeing that some new-wheels (Chinese copies) are less than the pricey old-ones, --may just go that route as long as they are dimensionallly correct (no universal-fit junk), -am not concerned about proper numbers as you say.]
:confused
-FYI: -a wheel-maker tells me orig. stock 15"x8"/C3-Vette wheels have a 4.5"-offset, while the 15"x8"(not 7" ones)Camero-wheels have a 4.2"-offset; --which means that when that Camero-wheel is put on the '80-Vette, the outer-rim of the wheel will be just a tiny-bit over 1/4" further-outward than would the stock Vette-rim, --seems one can live with that if Camero's are cheaper!!!
:crazy
