WANTED: -set of 4 '68-'74 Steel-wheels...

[Vette/Berlina-coupe]

-anybody have disgarded set four(4) plain rusty (but straight) old standard Steel 15"x8"-wide so-called Rally-wheels (no glitter just the wheels) that came on C3/Corvettes circa/'68-'74; --for $100 spot-cash on the barrel-head?

-FYI: -a wheel-maker tells me orig. stock 15"x8"/C3-Vette wheels have a 4.5"-offset, while the 15"x8"(not 7" ones)Camero-wheels have a 4.2"-offset; --which means that when that Camero-wheel is put on the '80-Vette, the outer-rim of the wheel will be just a tiny-bit over 1/4" further-outward than would the stock Vette-rim, --seems one can live with that if Camero's are cheaper!!!

Tom's right. 67 was 6 inch, 68 was 7 inch, and 69-82 were 8 inch. Chuck

I think you would need a mask and a gun to get original steel wheels for that price. IF originality isn't that important, you can find brand new, repro, wheels in most of the catalogs. $100 MAY buy you a set of wheels but you wouldn't like what you got.

As Tom and Chuck noted, 67's were 6", 68's were 7", and 69's were 8"; wheel widths are measured from inside-to-inside of the rim flange, not outside-to-outside.

I agree,youll pay more than that used or new.Its strange but I can get new GM wheels for less or the same price as a used set.I suggest buying the new ones unless you want a date code.
