My '78 has one half of the strap to hold down the T-Tops (behidn the seats). There is a "Y" shaped uniy with a buckle. It connects to a smaller unit that is secured to the deck in back of the seats. That si the piece I am missing. Currently I am using a velco strap, functional but ugly. Does anyone have the smaller piece, in tan?

Sorry, i dont have one, but:
I just replaced mine with one i got from another CE guy, and it turns out, the whole thing is one piece. The Y, the buckle, the lower strap, all attached.. Mine had the same issue, as yours. I was told to look in ebay, they come up once in a while, or see if you can go around a Vette scrapyard.. I'll pm you some links, if you are interested..
