What is the wattage on the standard lights??? If I replace stock on my 96 with the Sylvania Xtra Visions Halogen lamps, will this require a wire upgrade?? Im interested in the blue lamps, but I dont want to have to worry about frying the wiring or redoing the wiring.

Thanks

I suggest the Silverstar headlights. they are better than the Xtravision, and can be found at local parts stores (even walmart). Check out sylvania's web site, i think they have a comparison chart of all their headlights... silverstar's are at the top of the list.

With them, you can stay legal with the standard wattage and should be impressed with how much better the lighting is... and then you never have to worry about the wiring :)

Oh, and BTW: blue headlights are not a good thing. The headlights that look blue when looking into them actually cast a very white light. Blue is harder for the human eye to work with. Auto lights should range from yellow to white; yellow is best for bad weather conditions, white is best for clear conditions.

Thanks, do you know the model number off hand.

I have the silverstars, no problems, 2 years, they're better but not hid.

I just installed Silverstars in my C5 this morning. They were about $75 plus tax for all 4 bulbs at Wallmart.

C4's will be cheaper, as the C5 has separate high and low beams:)
