I just bought the kit to replace the weatherstriping on my 84 coupe. They want to charge me $200 to intall it. I want to know if is a job that I can do myself before I pay that kind of money. Please let me know if anyone knows of a good website that shows how to do it. Thanks

Weather strip

I did my son's Trans-AM t-top and it was very do-able but tedious. Fortunately he bought a good kit with a lot of 3M adhesive remover. Cleaning the old one out was the biggest part of the job. I required several hours but we had a nice visit.
He didn't pay me $200 but that would not have been too much - for the labor part.
Good luck
PS I can't find it but one of the e-sites that sells weather strip has a basic primer in how to do the job.

You have a double edge here...if you replace it, you save 200 bucks...If he replaces it and it leaks, its on his shoulders. Windows can be a real pain to adjust if it needs it. There are some hints for install here. http://www.corvette-rubber.com/
