hello again.

Ok, so I decided to try and start the easy way first... Took off the drivers side t-top, and started to work on taking off all the rubber strip...

My main concern is as follows:
Upon (finally) taking off all the strip, I found there were metal peices "inside" the strip (exhibits a & b attached). Upon looking at the strip set that I got from The Last Detail, I couldn't find anywhere for these peices to go. Which has me worried.

Initially, I wasn't worried, then I found one of the metal peices, pot rivet'd into the top (I hate pot rivets). Now this has me worried as that metal peice is quite retarded now. Will I have to buy another metal peice? (whatever its purpose is). Or should I just go and install the stripping regardless?

Cheers.

Nik.

Are you talking about the metal reinforcement inside the weatherstrip?I think thats all that is.If you hate pop rivits dont remove the ones that hold the stainless trim on.They get stuck inside the ttop and you cant get them out. Then they rattle while your driving.
