Jon,

I think my Grand Sport averages in the low 20's. The '02 is in the mid to high 20's!

Before mods, I was getting 17 in town and 27 on the highway with my 92 LT1.
After conversion to LT4+, the city mileage seems to be running closer to 16. I haven't had a chance to take a cruise with it yet for the highway mileage.

The 03 is getting 18-19 in town and 27-29 on the highway.

For a mix of not quite city and county driving, I usually get around 22 MPG. This depends on right foot prussure. Open road, around 25 or so.

Just drove 400 mi. @75-80 mph and got 24.5. Would have been a little higher if I had kept my foot out of the accelerator. City mpg is 16-17.

City-only, I get 15 or so. During the Corvette Caravan, I averaged 24.5 for the entire 1700+ mile trip, including highway, city, idling, racing...

84s, from my reading, should get 16/28 city/hwy.

Darned C6 gets 18/28 w/400 hp!!! Keep going like this, they'll be economy cars!

low to mid 20s

I get about 20-22 in town, haven't done enough highway driving yet to know what it is. I use only 93 octane, Texaco or Shamrock. I got 1 tank of bad gas and my mileage plumetted as did the performance of the car. Now I am REALLY Picky about where I buy gas.

95 LT1, around 17 city and 27 highway. The car is too much fun not to put your foot into it. :)

My 96 LT4 coupe got 28.04 on the way home from Lebanon, IN to the I-80 truck stop near Iowa City driving 65, most of the time in heavy rain. The rest of the way home and just driving around, dropped to 24.4 for an overall ave of 26.25. Tank fill affects the mpg too of course.

My 92 w/auto will usually get 18 in town and between 26 and 30 on the freeway. My 87 w/4+3 (with a cam and some other mods) will get around 16 in town and 27 on the freeway.

I took my 92 on the 50th Caravan last summer and I averaged 24.8 for the entire trip of 6000 miles. Some of that included some extended cruising speeds of 78-85 and the occasional tripile digit shots. At one point on I-40, the instant mpg readout showed 32mpg for about a half-hour of cruise-control thru Oklahoma at a set speed of 78MPH!! Average for that tankful was 29.8 MPG.

New plugs and wires before the trip was probably a big help!

My LT4/6 speed averages 23 MPG, mostly on the highway but mixed with some city driving.

89 automatic....17/18 in town....26 on a recent trip to fl......

Gas MPG

My 1996 LT-4 with lot's bolt ons 52mm T. Body 8.5 wires new plugs K&N Bigger MAF High flow cats 355 Rear.. Remaped ECM Gets Hwy and Town mixed 18 to 25 MPG..

Fuel mileage

MY 95 LT1 6 speed averages about 23 all around, went to a cruise in at Daytona in October, no AC on, averaged about 75 mph and got 29.1 mpg with sunoco premium

Mileage

Just 12.4 on my 96 LT4 but still learning to drive it correctly, just got to stop spinning the wheels it’s all around town so far, haven’t done any distance trips. The fuel calculator seem to be accurate.

87 Vert Auto

I get around 15-16 in town and 25-26 on the interstate as long as I keep it under 80. In town, I rarely allow the O/D to kick in, preferring to have more of a feel to the car at the shift point. That might cost me a little economy.

Oddly, my last years combination gave me my best mileage.

383
Auto w/2600 stall converter
3:33 gear

28.5 mpg going from Pa-Ga, and 27.0 coming home.

I never did check my mileage for town driving, but often got right about 400 miles out of a tank.
I assume somewhere around 20 or so.

My old 350 combo, with 3:07 gears only did a best of 26.5 on a similar long trip.

My 92 with K&N air filter with opened up airbox and a new set of axle-back Magnaflow mufflers and everything else stock netted me 28 mpg on the highway and after driving around town for awhile the on board computer still showed me getting 23 mpg. I was driving between 65 and 70 mph on the highway. Yowsa!:cool
