If the engine is new (or newly rebuilt) I'd use mobile 1. I have a friend who uses ut and when rebuilt his Camaro engine with about 120,000 miles on it and he could still see all the original cross hatching in his cyliners. I'm not sure if this is an accomplishment for an oil or not as I have not rebuilt my engine yet, but the way he drives I think it was an accomplishment for the oil to just keep the engine turning. He goes through tires in about 15k miles. The way I see it, if it will survive his driving, it will survive mine. On the other hand, I'm relativey igronrant on the compatability of synthetic and natural oils, so I would check in to it before switching. I'm sure they must be compatible, but it's just like measure twice, cut once. I'd verify it before I switched.
