What makes it special for me is that my wife bought it for me. There is nothing like a Vette. You can own a sports car or you can own a corvette. I don't believe any other American name plate is more associated with performance. Corvette is the car everyone compares thiers to. I told my wife that when she asked me what car could replace my 1974 Trans Am with the factory SD 455 that I owned since High School.
What makes my vette special? In 98, I had a White '95 LT1/A4 for 7 days from a Chevy dealer. I was trading in my '93 LT1/A4 Trans Am for the vette. At the same time I was thinking about asking my girl friend to marry me and that's what I ended up doing. I used my $3k down payment on a ring for her (Doh!). The dealer had said I needed a co-signer and I told them I didnt have one. So I got my T/A keys back and they had completely detailed the car! Ah yes. A free $100 wash and wax while driving a Vette around for a week sure was sweet. Well I always looked back at the '95 that I drove for that week and about 4 months ago I bought my Black '96 LT1/A4 with cash. Who needs credit anyhow? So I guess this is my first Vette? I dunno but my reason are:
1) Chicks still flash C4's.
2) I just plain love my C4 and will probably keep it and get a C6 in a couple years.
3) The passive alarm system ROCKS!
4) I'll be getting chrome ZR1 rims soon and those will make the car look sweet.
5) It's fast enough without adding anything to it.
That's a custom C5-C3, a friend of mine owns one. The company (can't think of the name) takes and strips a C5 completly down and refabs everything (body & interior). For more pictures on what one looks like and how they do it go to the link below; once there go to the bottom of the page and click on 'Custom C5 '53 Corvette.

Chicks flash Corvettes????? I never knew.....man I want to do a road trip!!!!!!
I was 11 I guess when I started showing interest in this car. I would always ask my dad if we could take the vette wherever we would go. This was my first car when I turned 16, and I will drive it until I can no longer drive. I dont ever see myself loosing this car. Sure I will buy another, or maybe two more corvettes in my life. However this one is here to stay, what can I say it is a black vert.
My 86 vert is my 8th vette. There have been 3 since my last vert. It was a 56. The 3 between were C3's with T-Tops. Other than my 54 and my 63 fuelie, I like this one the best because it is faster than the others and it's my first red vette and it is the rebirth year ot the vert. It's one of 7,000.I love it any way......Bob Yates
My 86 has been mine for only 2 weeks, its the first vette I've driven, It's the first one I've owned. Its paid for and at this tender age of 53, having one thing that I own outright is a great thing! My wife hasn't thrown me out (yet) and of all the sports cars Ive owned it is the best.
