What type of jobs do Z06 owners have

I am a Design Engineer for the worlds largest manfuacturer of construction equipment.

I'm President of an international NYSE listed company that sells worldwide. Have a facility here in Dixie and one in Australia. Read the Sarbanes-Oxley act if you want to know how much fun the job can be. :D

I own an Engineering firm in Braintree Massachusetts. We design Hvac, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Electrical and Fire Alarm systems for Commercial and Institutional type buildings. I'm a Mechanical/Electrical Engineer. Engineering runs in my family, so I decided to follow in those footsteps. Before I got into this certain field, I was a Missile Maintenence Technician in the U.S.A.F., and was stationed at R.A.F. Lakenheath U.K., the same base that bombed Kadhafi in 1986, and shut him up for over 15 years. Obviously I'm conservative, pro buisness and will be voting for George Bush this November. :pat

BTW: Alot of Engineers here that drive ZO6's! Nice! Goes to show you that we agree that the Corvette is a fine piece of automotive engineering, sweet!

I retired four years ago, so I drive my 02 Z to the golf course and work on my handicap. Work can be sooooooo much fun when you watch somebody else doing it.... :L :L :L

vettepilot

I'm a software developer, though I've been testing more than developing lately....

I wasn't planning on getting a Vette until after I had kids and they were out of school, but the divorce accelerated those plans a bit. :) I'm getting married again in May, and now I have the house, the wife, and the Vette! :D

At a baby :pat Todd!

Although I'm a ZR-1 owner and not a ZO6 owner, I'm a nuclear weapons designer currently doing nuclear intelligence analysis for government agencies (e.g., CIA, DIA, Dept of Homeland Security, etc.) at Lawrence Livermore Lab in California.

It sounds cooler than it is.

You’re scaring me! Just kidding. :L Nice work.

Well - I have a vert, but I thought I'd pipe in. I work for the world's smallest international software consulting company (just me). I've done work in various parts of the world and specialize in large retail operations ($1 billion plus a year in sales). I spent 6 months in Japan - interesting country when you're 6'3". At least nobody ever lost me in a crowd! I've been designing and coding a replenishment product for my current client for about 16 months now.

I am the Director of Operations for the largest CAD Dealer in Florida. We specialize in sales, training and support of Autodesk and SolidWorks software.

I am presently laid off and thinking about keeping it that way. I was a Mechanical Engineer doing solid model design at Boeing Helicopter in Philly until the Army decided to cancel the Comanche program. I bought my Z06 after I got laid off because now I have time to drive one again. This is my 4th Corvette.

Working 70 to 80 hours a week didn't give enough time to ride my bikes or a Corvette. Since all my toys are garaged in Florida, working in Philly for the last 6 years was a hassle. I am enjoying the time off. Maybe now I can finish that 34 Ford sedan.

I work as a shipwright/mechanic, currently in the engine room of Vic Edelbrock Jr's new 100+ ft mega yacht, to launch next spring/summer.

Engineer? Cool! :cool
Will Vic call you "Scotty" and tell you he needs warp speed? :L

Captain: (More speed Scotty!) Scotty: (I'm giving her all she's got captain!) Captain: (How long before we can achieve warp speed?) Scotty: (I need atleast three days.) Captain: (You have one hour!) :eek

I'm an electronic engineering manager. We design chips for the internet infrastructure. Network processors, voice over IP convergence processors, transcievers, line drivers, crosspoint switches, mappers, framers and many more. We also provide entire systems solution including the software and reference design. Whenever you access the internet, you are going through our chips.

Cool ZO6ADCT., I'm glad we have many engineering professionals that have chosen the ZO6 as their mode of fast transportation. That really says something, and what that is, I don't know yet, lol! Thank you for the chips, may they stay @ 25 degrees C, always!

Todd, yes it does say something. Perhaps one of us engineers can write an equation for it. And yes, 25C is a good thing!
