What's the best gear ratio?

I am in the process of rebuilding the entire drivetrain in my 76. I have a ZZ4 crate motor, B&M TH350 auto, VB&P Performance Plus suspension, Steeroids (by the end of the month), new trailing arms, etc., etc. etc. The one component that I have yet to address is the rear diff. I currently have a very well worn 3.36 ratio rear diff.

What would be the ideal gear ratio for a fair weather (ie; not daily driver) Vette? I'm sending my rear end out to be rebuilt and it is the ideal time for a gear change.
