A friend of mine was cleaning out his gararge and gave me a set of 16 x 8, five spoke, factory GM wheels, which I believe came off a '95 Trans Am. This p.m. I tried one on my '92 LT1 (2 of my stock rims are bent and my car is laid up). The bolt pattern is fine, but as the wheels are 1" smaller than my OEM directionals, the inside of the rim rubs against the brake caliper. If I grind the edges of the caliper--ever so slightly--I believe it will fit. Aside from the obvious disadvantage of going to a smaller rim/tire combination, will this set-up work? Thanx, LW
