Hello everyone,

I had my tires balanced and rotated. While this was happening, the center hub of my stock 1982 wheels came off. I'm not talking about the spin on cap. I"m talking about the threaded cone that the spinner spins onto.

I looked at the center cone, saw that it was held in by 3 set screws, and decided I can fix it. I got the cones remounted, but they keep falling off.

How can I get them to stay on? Spot weld? JB Weld? Velcro? i'm desperate here. Has anyone found a solution to this?

Thank you for your time

1138..... did you try replacing the 3 set screws first? If one or more get rounded off they will never stay set. I'd try this before JB Weld or another adhesive idea.

Yeah, I tried replacing the set screws.
I will go back to the hardware store and see if there are any set screws with more of a pointed end.

Has anyone found a "secret" to keeping the center hubs on?
