where can I purchase a fan switch?

I need to purchase the fan switch that screws into the block of the '84 that makes the fan come on at a cooler temperature than the stock part. Anybody have any recomendations for a reputable online dealer where I can buy this and get a good price. All the parts stores locally only have the stock unit. Thank you very much.

Just put one in. Fan comes on at 192 off at 180. Proper connector.

You know this screws into the passenger side head, between cylinders 6 & 8, right?

This is exactly what I did, and I feel this is the best mod to date.
My L98 runs SO MUCH cooler, performs better when warm, and I couldn't be happier I would recommend anyone with a C4 to get the low temp fan switch assy.

I have an '84, will the switch itself work as a direct replacement or do I need to get the wiring harness for it as well?

I believe the main fan is controled by the computer. The switch kit is for the front pusher fan, if you have that option on your car. That is the fan controlled by the switch that goes on the drivers side of the motor.

Sorry, I re-read the Mid America page and maybe I'm wrong about this switch being only for a pusher fan. I replaced the switch on my 89 (on the drivers side) that turns the front fan on earlier. I guess the Mid America kit will turn on the main fan earlier.

The 84 only has one fan and it's not ECM controlled, just the temp switch and a relay.
