The other day i was looking and i saw some oil laying on the passenger side on top of the intake manifold. Could it be the valve cover gasket leaking?

Thanks

Intake manifold gasket! I just had to replace mine not to long ago.:Steer

I second that. Had the same issue, replaced the valve cover gaskets, no change. When I pulled my intake off recently, I found that the front couple bolts were LOOSE! As in almost finger-loose. That would do it...

If it is the intake manifold gasket is bad will it hurt if i drive it? My vette is my daily driver. I just noticed it leaking is there a time frame i have to fix it before something else gets messed up?

I had the same problem. I backed out the leaking bolt, cleaned the area and the bolt, and then applied RTV sealant to the bolt and re-installed it, I haven't had any more leakage and I did this about 7 years ago so I know it works without any problem. If you have more than one leak you may need to remove and replace each bolt one at a time. Some are very difficult to get at, I used a torx insert bit with a box wrench to remove it.

Your car will be fine to drive around with such a leak. Just know that you'll have to replace it eventually when you get time and $.

Just check the oil once a week or so and you're fine. I drove mine for almost two years (~10k miles) with the leak and no ill effects. You're not losing power, just oil :).

Most likely intake, as the guys mentioned, I'm in the process of doing mine right now, Mine is actually leaking a bit of coolant as well.

I was hoping to start this weekend, my other half had other plans though,#$@&...

Oh well, I drove mine all last summer like this. right near the end the coolant started appearing, now it's time.

Listen to these guys, they know what they are talking about.
