Anybody got a preference for a Shop Manual? I don't necessarily need everything in one, but occasionaly it would be nice to know where a certain part is located, exactly what it is called, or the proper procedure for doing something without making a stupid mistake. No help needed there. :)

I've seen the listing for the 1981 Chevrolet Corvette Shop Manuals on eBay, but never actually gotten a chance to look at one. Which one do you guys like for all around general information? Hopefully this question hasn't been posted somewhere earlier. Thanks in advance for the suggestions.

:w Cool

I would highly recommend the GM 1981 Shop Manual ST-364-81 and the Assembly Manual.

I also have a Haynes Manual, and about the only thing it is good for is taking up space on my bookshelf ;)

I agree, but I do use the Haynes manual also. It is pretty user friendly for basic stuff, but the GM manual is THE one to have. God bless, Sensei
