Which timing cam gear to buy?

It looks like my timing cam gear is shot, only a few teeth remain! I've seen single and double row, steel and nylon teeth. 84 Covette, stock 350, driven easy with the exception of few trip to Englishtown.

The Gm stock replacement may be the nylon covered one. They were installed for thier quiet running, in a corvette we are really going to notice a little noise in the timing gear ? :D I have always relaced them with a steel gear and never really noticed much noise. Main thing is to buy a good name brand. The double row is less likely to stretch as much as a single but isn't a real factor for normal street driving. Just be sure to buy quality because the cheap ones do stretch and wear more quickly.Be sure to buy the set and replace the crank gear.
