Im looking at getting some new wheels and tires for the car. I want something that looks mean, not just pretty. I like deepdish style wheels especially on the back and im going to go with bigger wheels and tires in the back to give a drag style stance. I also dont want to spend a fortune. if you guys have any suggestions feel free to impart knowledge. also, anyone know the limit of size of wheel/tire i could fit in the rear wheel wells?

Im also finally going to put 4.11 gears in vette. it was suggested that i put some stronger-than-stock u-joints in at the same time. My car has probably got around 300 hp to the rear wheels. With that in mind which u-joints should i get? Also, this is probably a dumb question, but...i need to order 4 u-Joints... right?

The strongest U-joints don't have grease fittings (no holes drilled through the forging for grease paths); Spicer, Neapco, and others make them.

Hearing someone say that in reference to upgrading their Vette always causes me to chuckle. :chuckle
I think your tire size is going to be somewhat determined by your rim size. If you are staying with 15" rims, then I think 255's are about the widest you can go without rubbing.
17" rims with the proper offset can allow for a wider rim that would techincally allow for a wider tire as well, but you may still have rubbing.
