Wifey and I were at the Sugarland Welcome Center for the Smokies in TN and low and behold when I get back to the Jeepster I see this..

Don't know if it was a forum member or not but thought it was nice to see a midyear up in the mountains.. Nice looking Maroon 65 L79 with 67 White Stinger BB hood.. If so it was nice talking to you for a few minutes.. It made me wish I could bring mine out here for the week.. Wifey wouldn't go for it..hmm.. Allens side pipes and six hour ride.. Not going to happen if I want to stay married... I normally drive mine but I really wish I had a trailer to go on some of the really long hauls..

That's why I removed the sidepipe bracket and headers from my 66. Peggy and I took the 66 on a 700 mile round trip 10 days ago to see the fall colors in MN (Check out the news link at my homepage - listed below). Last weekend we added a couple of hundred miles with a trip to Galena (Territory) IL along the Great River Road.

IMO 2.5inch pipes to the rear make the same noise as sidepipes (only at the rear of the car) when routed through (see through) Borla stainless turbos with 2.5 inch outlets. Everyone else gets the noise. I get the rumble.
