Each LS9 built has an emblem attached to the driver's side of the engine under the cover showing the name of the engine builder at the Wixom plant.

So who built your LS9?

Rick Dadd built mine.

Great idea to have the builders name attached to the engine. I love it!

Anything like that for other generations?

I have read (on this site I think) that Grand Sport "coupe w/6sp stick" engines are also hand built. However, I do not know if they are signed.

Hi John,

Welcome to the Corvette Action Center. No, you can't tell who the engine builder is through the VIN.

What year and serial number is your ZR1?

Hello Rob, 2010 5800509 CRM.Many thanks john.

:louWill there be problems with service for the LS9? Since Holden has the LS2, I wouldn't think so.

My engine was built by Mike Priest at the Wixom Michigan plant. She runs great.

Thanks Mike. :w

Yes I am on the registry.
