Looks like the WonderBar production has taken off - Avail. as upgrades on 1987's, 1988 - E.1990, and L. 1990 (1991 uses a unique & very efficient design already) the WonderBar is reportedly the single best power modification you can do to your B2K -

I know of a white 1990 that just got one done :upthumbs

For me, it is tough to decide between that, and the awesome sounding Megaphones (Mid-pipe back) :D

I've been thinking long and hard on the wonderbar upgrade, just haven't pulled the trigger YET. I think it would be a great upgrade!

I think it would be "WONDERFUL" :D

just an FYI...

A run of the Stainless Turbo Manifolds (header) has been made for both 1987 cars and the 88+ B2K's and in stock at Callaway Cars :cool

-the welding looked beautiful and flanges are HEAVY DUTY!!!!

:upthumbs

The Callaway folks are great !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for keeping the cars and the spirit alive!

Folks, you see the parts... time to support their efforts and upgrade your cars!

Turbo Joe, Talking w/ Scott @ Callaway, he said some improvements were made to the original upgraded Wonderbars when this run was made - Begining with the one on Callaway4fun's car and going forward, they all get a somewhat redesigned "transition" inlet :upthumbs

I know of a couple other cars that have this re-design and they do have them made up and in stock :cool

JUST LOOKING ;)

Has anyone installed this themselves? What's the level of difficulty?

I would also like to know. It may be an option down the road.

More power across all rpm's or just the upper rpm's. Does it lower the boost pressure due to less restriction? I will probably do a 3 inch exhaust at the same time. The Callaway converter bypass pipe has holes rusted in it.

BIG exhaust is the second best thing you can do to these cars. Id post my before and after dyno sheets but its been seen too many times :L

Hey Callaway4fun, remember that fella selling the blue AeroBody Convertible 89 @ Barrett-Jackson w/ the big-bar?

Didn't he claim it took him, "four hours, but was no expert" :confused

While I am not certain of his recollection, I know my memory serves me well to say, he did not indicate any great difficulties in doing the swap :cool

You'll actually increase boost b/c the turbos can spin easier. I had a Power Effects 2.75" system on my car...it really woke it up. If you want the boost to come on hard get a big exhaust system.

What about the MAS air meter? Where is it located when you do the Big wonderbar? Will it stay in the same location?

I went by ShopView's house to look at his '91 and his car doesn't have a MAS air meter.

For me this will be done after the exhaust. I think I can order it and do it myself.

MAF Sensor stays in the same place - it uses a different set of bellows to go from the new Wonderbar to the airbox/filter though :cool

90+ cars were speed density sys. cars - that's why there is no MAF Sensor :beer
