Wife searches for 2 years to find the perfect Corvette for her husband

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- First Coast Gears hit the road for the Turkey Run last weekend. The annual Thanksgiving weekend show and swap meet at Daytona International Speedway is one of the biggest of its kind in the U.S. More than 5,000 classics were on display, according to organizers.
Joe and Kathy Borg traveled from Stuart for the Turkey Run with their 1961 Corvette Roadster that they've owned for 20 years. Like so many of the cars we saw, it's immaculate and has a unique story. Joe had a black '62 Corvette soft top that he was forced to part with. Kathy was determined that one day she would find a replacement for her husband.
Kathy scoured the pages of Corvette Trader and tracked other leads for two years. Keep in mind, her search took place before websites were common. Kathy finally struck gold when a guy in Texas told her about a piano teacher in Mendenhall, Miss., that had a 1961 Corvette Roadster up for sale.
