I've posted this question on other forums and one reply I got was, yes, they will, but the hole in the adapter would need to be enlarged due to the 62 hub being bigger than a 64. Can someone verify that and how much larger do you think the hole would be. Since this is a critical area where the spinner threads are I would not want to remove much material. And I'm wondering if machining the outside diameter of the brake drum hub would be safer. What about the direct bolt knock offs. Would the hole in that adapter also need to be machine bigger in order to slide onto the hub.

The '62 wheel hub pilot hole diameter is 2.783"/2.786", same as the midyears; '61 and earlier is 2.91". If your '62 has the earlier/larger front hubs, you MAY have to provide additional clearance, but that area is nowhere near the threads for the spinner - it's at the other end of the adapter, where the flange is attached to the hub.

Exactly the information I needed. Thanks a bunch

Direct bolt knock off

Should I decide to go with the direct bolt knock offs, will the direct bolt knockoff adapter fit over the hub. Maybe the diameter of the 62 hub is OK but what about the length of a 63 brake drum hub as compared to a 62.
