As I am about to pull the motor on my stock 85 for a leaking freeze plug, I got curious(How come that emotion always is time comsuming & spendy?)
Would my freshly built 69' 4 bolt(out of a suburban) block and heads bolt up to my 85's intake, exhaust and rest of plumbing, sensors etc.?
Or just 69 block to 85's heads. My 69 heads are still just the trucks heads with good valves springs and 1:6 roller tip rockers.
The block has 9.5 to 1 cast pistons, the most cam to run with stock converter. Don't have cam card in front of me, probably 204 intake, 214 exhaust @ 50 degrees.
A call to Summit about adapter manifolds resulted in being told that they would bolt together,
What is your knowledge/experience with any of this bright??! idea.
Would free up alot of budget to exhaust and other parts.
