Will C5 owners buy body kits to convert C5 to C6 styling.if so how muchwill they pay?

Being that the C6 is an evolution of the C5..if the body style is so hot..will C5 owners tally up the money to convert their cars to C6 aftermarket kits..whereby the cars look like a C6?

Just shooting the breeze but I bet theres money to made on that restyle..

What do U think is a fair price and do U think people will go for it?

(Not serious just throwing this out there since the dimensions are probably extremely close )

I'm too cheap to spend money on a body kit but I bet this becomes a hot mod when the C6 rolls out. :lol:


5 grand..maybe less and I wonder which body style would be most often modified?

Coupe?
Convertible (easiest to accomplish?)
or FRC?

Maybe it wont happen but I thought it would be fun to shoot the breeze about..

I think the C6 will be so different that the panels will not easily mod from one to the other.

Take the C4 vs. the C5. The C5 is so much wider than the C4 in the rear that there is no way to really capture the C5 look. I have seen some conversion out there, but there is just no comparison. If the spy photos that we have been seeing end up being anywhere close to the C6, there is no way the two will be able to copy cat enough to pull it off.

There will be people willing to try, and there always has. Think about the crazy people changed entire front and rear clips on 68-72 models to get away from the chrome look after rubber became the bumper of choice.........

I'm sure your right...the only reason I thought this midght be made available is because many of the existing chassis components will be slightly modified.

I don't personally find this something I would do even if it was the greatest thing since sliced bread..

I just thought it would be an interesting topic to discuss.

I do hope certain items like brakes/rotors etc are capable of being made interchangable..

Might be something to consider for improved performance..

Would anyone be considering changing out certain items if they are compatible?

If so which ones?
